This is the best and cheapest option I've found on the European side of the planet. This Thomann deal is leftover stock from way back. This allows you to have lots of plug-ins active and know they will only drain power when they need to, not all the time. To get back on the updates subscription ladder you would need to buy in -again- and AVID have recently removed cheap upgrade paths for owners of perpetual licenses. Pro Tools 11 analyzes the plug-ins on a track, along with the audio, to allocate more or less of the CPU resources based whether or not audio is present on the track. If you don't renew your subscription after 12 months, you can keep using your protools in a perpetual fashion, but are stuck with the last version that was available within your 12 month plan. If everything then works properly, you can delete InstalledAAXPLugins from your desktop.
